Despite the addition of new classrooms there have been continuing accommodation problems at the old nunnery at Tilokpur due to the growing population of nuns.  In 1999 the purchase of a plot of land nearby was accomplished.  Construction began shortly afterwards, but from the beginning the nuns have struggled to raise the necessary funding.  Nonetheless, the project is now 80% built.  The final construction phase consists of the completion of a second classroom and dormitory wing. The new facility will house and educate over 100 women and girls.  Currently there are 25 novice nuns and 15 senior nuns living at New Monastery.  Classes for the children began in spring of 2009.
